VTB Capital “RUSSIA CALLING!” Investment Forum concluded successfully

VTB Capital “RUSSIA CALLING!” Investment Forum is aimed at attracting investments into the Russian economy. The Forum contributes to the development of dialogue between Russian businesses and international investors.

This year’s VTB Capital “RUSSIA CALLING!” Investment Forum, held in Moscow, reached a successful close. The event drew more than 2000 delegates, including over 500 investors from Russia, Europe, US, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Approximately 300 top managers from Russia’s leading companies participated in plenary sessions and panel discussions.

The final day of the Forum featured two roundtable discussions organized by VTB Capital together with top international and Russian business leaders. Today’s programme also included one-on-one meetings between representatives from Russian companies and international investors.

At the Euromoney Roundtable, “the Internationalization of Russian Capital Markets”, executives of major international and Russian companies and key investors discussed Russian debt and equity capital markets, its trends and current situation and opportunities for Russian companies to attract capital. Participants of the roundtable included: Igor Kulichik, Vice-President – CFO, ALROSA; Oleg Mukhamedshin, Deputy CEO, Equity and Corporate Development, UC RUSAL; Maxim Volkov, CEO, PhosAgro; Pavel Ilichev, Deputy Chief of the corporate finances department, RZD; Jean-Pascal Duvieusart, PPF Group Member of the board and a shareholder, Member of the Supervisory Board of NOMOS Bank; Jacob Grapengiesser, Partner, East Capital Asset Management and James Beadle, Investment Advisor, Societe Generale Private Banking. Nicholas Lord, Editor of Euromoney moderated the discussion.

The “Investment Management in Russia: Challenges and Opportunities” roundtable gathered key investors in Russia to hear their views on what investing in Russia is really like and discuss their ideas on Russian companies investing abroad.
