VTB Capital participated in the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce Business Forum, held on June 2-3 in London. The Forum’s programme featured leading speakers from the business and media sectors.
Olga Podoinitsyna, Member of the Board at VTB Capital, noted: “I firmly believe that occasions such as the RBCC Business Forum are instrumental in forging new relationships between Russian and British businesses, as well as consolidating existing ties”.
Neil MacKinnon, Global Macro Strategist at VTB Capital, spoke at the panel session titled “The Big Picture: An Update on Key Business Issues,” where he gave a summary of latest developments in the global economy. He said that Chinese economy is slowing down, while the Eurozone is demonstrating signs of cyclical recovery with the easing of credit conditions and a pickup in the liquidity growth rate. Talking about the US economy, Neil MacKinnon noted that if a bounce-back is to happen, it needs to come in the next four to six weeks.
