VTB Capital Investments launches four new Fund strategies for retail investors

25 June 2021
VTB Capital Investments is launching new OPIF strategies: "VTB-Global Allocation Fund", "VTB-Developing Countries Equity Fund", " VTB-Moderately Conservative Fund. Dollars " and " VTB is a moderately conservative Fund. Rubles". The line of open-ended funds (OPIF) managed by VTB Capital Investments has reached 25 funds.

VTB - Fund Global Allocation is a strategy aimed at generating income through participation in the long-term growth of the global financial market. The mathematical model of the world-famous economists F. Black and R. Letterman is used as a mechanism for active strategy management ("active allocation"). The strategy portfolio is rebalanced quarterly. Intra-quarterly rebalancing is possible in the event of a change in the view of the expected return on individual asset classes. The active allocation mechanism allows you to distribute capital more efficiently between asset classes depending on the phase of the global economic cycle and local cycles, as well as use short-term market dislocations of individual regions / asset classes in order to achieve additional profitability.

VTB-Fund Shares of Developing Countries is aimed at long-term capital growth by investing in shares of issuers of developing countries. The strategy is designed for investors who are tolerant to a high level of risk. The investment currency is US dollars. The fund provides access to a wide variety of fast-growing companies in developing countries. All received dividends are reinvested within the mutual fund. Thus, the Russian unqualified investor gets a unique opportunity to invest in stocks with a wide geographical diversification among developing countries within the Russian jurisdiction. The fund allows you to invest from 1 thousand rubles and provides the client with a ready-made investment solution without the need for independent management and complex search for shares of companies in different developing countries.

"VTB is a moderately conservative fund. Dollars" is a dollar portfolio with a moderately conservative strategy. The investment currency is US dollars. The strategy of active management of this OPIF implies a periodic redistribution of investments between the markets of global stocks and Eurobonds of emerging markets, including Russia and the CIS, based on an assessment of their relative potential, as well as the general economic situation. The rebalancing of the shares of the share/Eurobond is carried out on the basis of a multi-factor allocation model. The maximum share of shares in the portfolio can reach 30%. The strategy is aimed at generating income above the deposit rate in US dollars and is characterized by an average level of risk.

"VTB is a moderately conservative fund. Rubles" is a ruble portfolio with a moderately conservative strategy. The investment currency is rubles. The strategy of active management of this fund implies a periodic redistribution of investments between the stock and bond markets, based on an assessment of their relative potential, as well as the general economic situation. The maximum share of shares can reach 30%. The combination of fixed-income instruments and shares of Russian companies ensures a compromise between long-term capital growth and the need to limit the level of risk, effective distribution between asset classes to improve the risk/return ratio, as well as a steady cash flow from coupon and dividend payments.

"The growth of demand for collective investments continues. This inspires us to create new, in many ways unique investment products that will not only diversify our line, but also expand the opportunities of our clients. Mutual funds are one of the most affordable ways to invest, as they have a low entry threshold, and all the strategies that are used in VTB Capital Investments for their formation are subject to high-quality and multi-level expertise. In order to make investments even more convenient, VTB Capital Investments integrated the products of management companies into the VTB My Investments investment platform. Through the mobile application, you can now see all the details for each mutual fund: graphs of the value of the unit and the dynamics of investments in the portfolio, the final result on profitability, a description of the fund with the possibility of going to the website of the management company," said Vladimir Potapov, Chief Executive Officer of VTB Capital Investments, senior vice president of VTB.
You can purchase investment units of open funds online through the "Client's Account" or at the offices of partner banks and the management company.
