6 September 2021
Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, VTB Group represented by VTB Infrastructure Holding and the government of the Magadan Region signed an agreement on the first Far Eastern concession for medical infrastructure facilities. The document was signed by Denis Morozov, a representative of the Ministry of Health and Demographic Policy of the Magadan Region, and Oleg Pankratov, General Director of VTB Infrastructure Holding.

The list of medical facilities planned for construction in Magadan includes a surgical building, a new building of an infectious diseases hospital, two city polyclinics and a centralized children's polyclinic with a consultative and diagnostic center.

Depending on the scale of federal support, VTB Group's participation in the project may amount to up to 30 billion rubles.

As part of the concession, the investor assumes obligations for the design, financing, construction and technical operation of the concession facilities. It is expected that the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic of the Russian Federation will provide subsidies to the region from the federal budget.

Oleg Pankratov, General Director of VTB Infrastructure Holding, said: "This is a unique project for the region, when a private investor — the VTB Group-creates a whole complex of various social infrastructure facilities. We have accumulated considerable experience and expertise in public-private partnership projects, and the best practices will certainly be applied in the first Far Eastern concession, which we are implementing for residents of the Magadan region."
