VTB Capital Asset Management signs asset management agreement with Far Eastern Federal University Endowment

9 November 2015
The Far Eastern Federal University Endowment has transferred 50 million rubles of its "Fundamental Research" fund to be managed by VTB Capital Asset Management.

The Far Eastern Federal University Endowment was established in 2011 to attract long-term pledges and donations from individuals and corporations in order to generate additional funds for the university. Currently, the Endowment has a capital reserve of 189 million rubles. Ensuring that these funds are well managed is integral to the Eastern Federal University Endowment.

Donations are transferred to the trust’s financial institutions to generate income, which is subsequently used by the University to implement programs and projects previously agreed with the benefactors. Past projects have included strengthening the University’s infrastructure, modernising its educational process and funding further scientific research.

Vladimir Potapov, Chief Executive Officer of VTB Capital Investment Management said: "VTB Capital Investment Management is the leader among the largest asset managers in Russia in terms of endowment funds under management. The company manages over 5 billion rubles in endowment assets, which is equivalent to 33% of the Russian market share. Working with the Far Eastern Federal University Endowment as a partner for asset management once again proves the high degree of confidence from customers in our company and the work we do."
