The National Business Prize “Company of the Year 2012” ceremony was held in Moscow on 27th November. VTB Capital received the award in the category “The Development of Russian Investment Attractiveness in International Markets”.
Award organisers noted that VTB Capital has provided substantial investment to the Russian economy, up to a total of USD $30bn in 2012. It has achieved this by taking part in more than 80 transactions in international capital markets. In addition, the opening of VTB Capital’s offices in New York and Sofia, and the signing of strategic international partnership agreements, has created a platform for Russian corporate expansion in the North and South American markets, as well as in Central and Eastern Europe.
Continuing to develop a productive dialogue between Russian business and international investors in 2012 through its fourth Moscow session of VTB Capital’s "RUSSIA CALLING!" Investment Forum. This year, the Forum was also held in London in May for the fourth consecutive year, and the inaugural New York Forum was held in April. VTB Capital’s “RUSSIA CALLING!” Investment Forum has become a landmark event in the international investment community and is seen as a unique platform in attracting foreign investment in the Russian economy. The Forum offers participants access to first-hand interaction with government representatives and key experts in economics and business. Interest in the Forum continues to grow and in 2009 it was attended by over two thousand investors from more than 60 countries.
