VTB Capital announces the launch of business operations in the U.S.

On April 18-19 VTB Capital will celebrate the official launch of its U.S. business by hosting an Investment Conference in New York. The Conference will bring together leading international and Russian business community representatives.

The Conference will consist of one-on-one meetings, which will facilitate communication between members of the global market and several panel discussions with government representatives, investors and heads of international corporations.

The Conference will be attended by VTB Group top managers, as well as leading experts, economists and politicians, including Andrey Kostin, JSC VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board, Alexey Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia, and Alexey Kudrin, Dean of the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. Petersburg State University.

As a part of the two-day conference program, participants will discuss the development of international financial markets, U.S.-Russian bilateral economic relations and the modernization of Russia’s investment climate.

In September 2011 the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) granted VTB Capital Inc. a U.S. broker-dealer license, allowing the bank to formally launch U.S. activities.

Paul Swigart will serve as the U.S.-based CEO of VTB Capital Inc., reporting to Atanas Bostandjiev, CEO, UK and International of VTB Capital plc.
