James Corrigan, Head of Real Estate, Global Banking, VTB Capital, participated in the 8th Annual Russian Real Estate Summit. The event was held in Moscow on June 8 – 9, 2010. This year James Corrigan is a member of the Summit’s Steering Committee, that is made up of key industry players who were suggested by their business colleagues. Other members this year include Vladislav Doronin (Capital Group), David Geovanis (London & Regional Properties Fund), Alexander Khaldey (AFI Development), Charles Voss (Aberdeen Property Investors St. Petersburg) and Leonid Kazinets (BARKLI Corporation).
In addition to helping shape the format of the event as a committee member, James Corrigan spoke in a discussion-style session titled “Investor Think Tank”, sharing his views on how investors are rethinking their investment strategies for real estate and construction project in Russia for 2010-2011.
Evgeny Borisov, Investment Manager, Infrastructure and Real Estate Investment Funds Group, VTB Capital, also participated in the event as a speaker in a Case Study session themed ‘New Creative Strategies And Structures For Attracting Investment Into Real Estate And Construction Projects In Russia’ on the first day of the event. His presentation touched on prospects for private equity real estate funds in the contemporary market context.

Also, James Corrigan has been named among the Top 3 most influential persons in Commercial Real Estate in Russia Banks category by Commercial Real Estate magazine (25 May 2010 issue). Commercial Real Estate magazine listed banking executives from corporate and investment banks (Sberbank, VEB-Invest, Gazprombank, EBRD, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, etc.), actively involved in the commercial real estate market in Russia.
