VTB Capital held its annual meeting with investors at the 2014 World Economic Forum in Davos.
The topic of discussion at this year’s meeting was "Capital outflows from Russia and Emerging Markets amidst changes in U.S. monetary policy: short-term challenges vs. long-term opportunities."
The event was attended by Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Alexey Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia; Andrey Kostin, VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board; Andre Santos Esteves, Chairman of the Board, CEO of BTG Pactual; Gao Xiqing, Vice Chairman & President of the China Investment Corporation.
The attendees discussed the prospects and influence of U.S. monetary policy on developing economies. Participants shared their views on the volatility of international capital flows and addressed the expectations of global investors on minimising the impact of the Fed‘s quantitative easing programme.
