Elena Khisamova, Head of Equity Capital Markets at VTB Capital, spoke at the Russian Retail Forum, held on March 23-25 in Moscow.
Elena Khisamova spoke at the session “Finance and planning” where she discussed the outlook of equity capital financing for companies in the retail sector. She highlighted that Russian retail company stocks remain attractive to investors.
According to Khisamova, despite the decreased activity in the Russian equity capital market, companies with strong track records haveretained opportunities for successful placements. Moreover, the solid profit demonstrated in previous placements by companies in the retail sector further justifies investor confidence in new deals. Khisamova noted Lenta’s IPO in 2014 and Magnit’s share placement in early 2015 as examples of successful equity capital market transactions in the retail sector.
Now in its thirteenth year, the Russian Retail Forum brings together representatives of leading international and Russian retail and finance companies, as well as market experts. The Forum serves as a platform to discuss current trends in the Russian retail sector.
