Olga Podoinitsyna, Member of the Board, Global Head of Communications and Marketing at VTB Capital, has become the first representative of Russian company to receive a SABRE award for Outstanding Individual Achievement. The SABRE Awards, which recognise Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation, are presented by The Holmes Group, a leading global public relations publishing organisation.
Olga is responsible for the development and implementation of VTB Capital’s communications and marketing strategy, as well as the management of a joint communications platform for the VTB Group investment business, including regional development across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the USA.
Since VTB Capital’s foundation in 2008, Olga has overseen the company’s transition from a new market player to an established name in the global investment banking community. A critical part of this has been the launch and continued success of the Russia Calling! Investment Forum.
First established in 2009, the Forum has become a landmark event in the global investment calendar, serving not only to position VTB Capital on the global stage, but also to build connections and promote dialogue between Russia and the international business community. Today, the Forum takes place in Moscow, London and New York, with the annual Moscow event attracting around 2,000 delegates, including 400 investors from across Russia, Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The Russia Calling! Investment Forum has received widespread international recognition. In 2013 it was awarded ‘Best Ongoing Communication with Overseas Investors and / or Media’ and ‘Best Analyst / Investor / Press Meeting’ in the annual Corporate & Financial Awards, a prominent industry award hosted by the UK’s Communicate Magazine. The Forum has also been awarded ‘Best Event Management’ by the IPRA Golden World Awards, the annual awards of the International Public Relations Association.
Yuri Soloviev, First Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VTB Capital, noted: “Olga has shown herself to be an inspirational and successful leader. She builds excellent working relations based on trust, with both her business partners and her staff. Olga stands out because of the mature and balanced approach she takes when tackling any issues; her amazing capacity for work; and the first-class results she achieves.”
Alexei Yakovitsky, Global CEO at VTB Capital, said: “The SABRE Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the public relations sector. Olga has received numerous industry awards for her work. In 2013, she was named the financial sector’s top Director for Public and Corporate Affairs by Kommersant, one of Russia’s leading business newspapers. Olga, who has consistently led the rankings since 2006, was rated in the “Top 1000 Russian Managers” annual list compiled by the Association of Managers. Olga has also been awarded PROBA-IPRA GWA/ PR-manager of 2009 and Russia's Top Media Manager (PR category) in 2006.
