The VTB Capital Investment Forum “RUSSIA CALLING!”: London Session has successfully concluded today. The Forum was held in the UK capital between 21st and 23rd May.
The VTB Capital Forum has underscored its unique role in providing a platform for direct dialogue between Russian companies and investors. At the event almost 600 one-on-one meetings with the leading Russian companies took place. More than 400 delegates participated at the Forum, including 236 representatives of investment funds and 43 companies from various sectors of the economy.
Speakers at the forum included: Andrey Kostin, VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board; Alexey Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia; Alexei Kudrin, the Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. Petersburg State University; Russia's Finance Minister (2000-2011), Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group.
The Forum participants shared the views on the prospects for the Russian and global economy as well as issues relating to monetary and macro-prudential policy and the strategic priorities for mega-regulators.
On the second day of the Forum VTB Capital also hosted a roundtable meeting with its top research team to discuss the Global Macro and Commodities Outlook. Participants included: Neil MacKinnon, Global Macro Strategist at VTB Capital, Colin Smith, Head of Energy Research at VTB Capital, and Wiktor Bielski, Global Head of Commodities Research at VTB Capital.
During the forum a number of one-on-one meetings were held between Russian companies and international investors.
Journalists from leading international and Russian media have attended the Forum.
