The VTB Capital RUSSIA CALLING!: London Session Investment Forum reached a successful close today. The Forum was held from 22 to 24 May.

One of the strategic aims of the Forum was promoting direct interaction between investors and high-level Russian business leaders. Around 1000 one-on-one meetings took place between the management of leading Russian corporations and investors. VTB Capital’s landmark event attracted almost 450 delegates, including 209 investment funds and representatives of 37 companies.
The opening day of the Forum commenced with a series of speeches by top officials and executives, including Alexey Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Yuri Soloviev, First Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank, Chairman of VTB Capital holding companies Board of Directors, Jim O'Neill, Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Edward Oakden, Managing Director, Strategic Trade Group, UK Trade & Investment, and Nadya Wells, Vice President of Capital International.
The Forum participants discussed Russia's economic development over the next six years, the state of the banking sector and the practice of financial market regulation.
The second day included a panel session with Russian and UK government officials, macroeconomists and strategists discussing the topic “Russia Capital Markets – Preparing for a Larger Role”. The event was attended by Stephen Dalziel, Executive Director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, Christopher Granville, Co-founder, Managing Director of Trusted Sources, Peter Jarvis, Fund Manager of Pictet, Huw Jenkins, CEO of BTG Pactual Europe as well as other experts. The session was moderating by Mike Dolan, Editor, Investment Strategy EMEA, Thomson Reuters.
During the discussion, Russian and international experts discussed the investment prospects of various sectors of the Russian economy.
VTB Capital also hosted a roundtable meeting with its top research team to discuss the economic outlook for Russia. Participants included: Alexey Moiseev, Head of Macroeconomic Analysis, Alexey Zabotkin, Head of Investment Strategy, Nikolay Podguzov, Head of Fixed Income Strategy, Dmitry Loukashov, Head of Oil & Gas and Mikhail Shlemov, Analyst with focus on Banking sector and Financial Institutions.
The final day of the Forum involved individual and group meetings between institutional investors and companies.
As part of the VTB Capital’s mediaprogram, the Forum was visited by journalists from leading international and Russian media. As a result of the event there were more than 200 publications in the media.
