VTB Capital announces that Roger Suyama has been appointed Head of Indonesia (Corporate & Investment Coverage) at VTB Capital, which is the next step in the implementation of the strategy to strengthen the company's position and further business development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Roger Suyama will be responsible for corporate and investment coverage of Indonesia and will initially focus on developing M&A and financing dialogue with leading Indonesian companies and individual company owners. Regionally Roger Suyama will report to Damian Chunilal, CEO Asia for VTB Capital. Roger will also be accountable to Judy Lim, CEO of VTB Capital plc Singapore for any Singapore regulatory aspects to his role. He will be based in Singapore.
Roger Suyama has extensive experience in investment banking in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1987 he has served in various senior positions at Merrill Lynch & Co. in Southeast Asia, where he was responsible for business development in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. He led Merrill Lynch’s market leading Indonesia Investment banking business, completing many of Indonesia’s most significant transactions during that period. Between 2003 and 2004, Roger served as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Singapore.
Roger Suyama graduated from the Department of International Economics at Yale University in 1984.
